Maintaining the continuity and quality of electricity supply is E-REDES' priority.

To this end, we carry out localised work on the distribution network, which requires the occasional interruption of the electricity supply to customers.
During these interruptions, manoeuvres, connection work, repairs or maintenance of network infrastructure are carried out, whenever all possibilities for alternative power supply from existing facilities have been exhausted.

These interruptions also serve to correct situations that could cause instability in the electrical network and/or prevent malfunctions.

E-REDES, aware of the impact of these actions on customers, uses procedures and working methods aimed at avoiding supply interruptions and, when necessary, minimising their duration.

For safety reasons, the installations should be considered permanently live during the intervention period.

Scheduled interruptions

We are a European benchmark

Scheduled power cuts result from the urgent need to carry out manoeuvres, connection work, repairs or maintenance on the network infrastructure, whenever all possibilities for alternative power supply from existing facilities have been exhausted. These interruptions are also used to correct situations that could lead to insecurity in the electricity network and/or prevent malfunctions.

All work is rigorously planned and scheduled with the aim of causing as little disruption as possible. It is carried out in the shortest possible time, often using generators whose switching on and off causes short interruptions - three or four minutes - which may be repeated during the period announced in the published notices. The affected roads are also identified in each locality.

As a result of this effort, according to the latest report by CEER (Council of European Energy Regulators), E-REDES is ranked as a European benchmark company in carrying out scheduled work with low impact in terms of power cuts.
For safety reasons, electrical installations must be considered permanently active during the intervention period.
