The event brought together the winning teams from the three regional qualifying rounds held in 2024 in Bragança, Figueira da Foz and Ourique. Eight teams made up of E-REDES technicians and eight service providers competed against each other in carrying out their day-to-day activities, with a focus on complying with safety procedures, highlighting the work of all electricians, who ensure that energy is present where it is needed on a daily basis.
The event was divided into six activities: conductor regulation, medium-voltage network decommissioning, assisted rescue, mounting a luminaire on a concrete support, replacing live three-phase EMI and removing a ring connector with a rod.
The last activity was a blind competition, with all the teams competing at the same time.
This year, the event featured something new: the visit and participation of the families of the electricians who were competing in the activities. An area was set up dedicated to the little ones, with fun games, and they were also able to get to know the work their parents do on a daily basis.
This national stage was won by the ‘Safety Power’ team, winner of the regional edition in Figueira da Foz, led by João Dias from Santos&Cordeiro, João Martins and Sérgio Pimpão from Canas, Carlos Vicente and Afonso Gato from E-REDES, Alexandre Silva and Paulo Serrano from R3E and Eduardo Araújo from Santos&Cordeiro.
Second place went to ‘Voltamp’ led by Pedro Batista from Visabeira, David Pereira and José Santos from CME, Luís Caixeiro and Dário Neto from E-REDES, Jorge Bento and Jorge Dias from TBT, and Rodrigo Sousa from Visabeira.
And third place went to the ‘Rede Segura’ team led by Paulo Capitão from CME, Bruno Alves also from CME, Rui Pires and Pedro Subtil from E-REDES, Márcio Castanheira and Anísio Fortes from TBT, Tiago Infante and Luís Sousa from Visabeira.
