On the 11th November, the Convent of São Francisco in Coimbra will host the CIRED Portugal 2025 National Meeting, under the theme ‘Flexibility at the service of Energy Transition’. Organised by the CIRED National Committee, the event promotes debate and knowledge sharing on the challenges and opportunities of electricity distribution in Portugal.
This edition of the CIRED Portugal 2025 National Meeting follows on from the CIRED world conference, held in Geneva between the 16th and 19th July, bringing together experts, researchers and professionals from the sector to discuss the role of flexibility in the energy transition and the new technological and regulatory challenges facing the distribution network. In 2025, Portugal stood out for its strong international presence, with 47 articles presented and 57 delegates from manufacturers, laboratories, universities and scientific and technological entities (ICTs). Portuguese companies such as EDP LABELEC, ENEIDA.IO, ENGING and EFACEC were present in the exhibition area, reinforcing the visibility and recognition of the national sector in the global electricity landscape.
The CIRED Portugal 2025 National Meeting is organised by the CIRED National Committee and E-REDES - Distribuição de Eletricidade S.A., in partnership with the Coimbra City Council and the Order of Engineers of the Central Region, which invite all professionals and entities in the sector to participate.
To participate, you must register here by 3 November 2025. Participation is free of charge. Consult the event agenda to find out the full programme for this edition.
