The event also featured a presentation by an external guest, Ana Sousa, a TAP airline pilot, who shared her thoughts on the importance of decision-making in operational safety in high-risk contexts, drawing on her professional experience.
Following the presentation of the Safety Awards, Hália Oliveira, E‑REDES director responsible for safety, brought the meeting to a close, emphasising the organisation’s daily commitment to ensuring that everyone gets home safely at the end of the day. She also stressed that a focus on and the consolidation of a culture of prevention are essential to achieving this goal.
2025 Safety Awards
The event also featured the presentation of the 2025 Safety Awards, which recognised projects in the areas of Innovation and Best Practice developed by teams from E‑REDES and its partners, acknowledging significant contributions to the prevention and promotion of safety.
In the Innovation category, the winners were the Sentinela System, developed by E‑REDES – Project Design | Projetos BT Sul, and the Platform for Ladder Work, implemented by the partner Canas.
In the Best Practices category, the awards were presented to the initiative “Global Mobilisation for a Common Cause – ZERO ACCIDENTS”, by E‑REDES – EMC MV/LV Norte, and to the project “Tool for removing LV/MV outer sheaths”, implemented by the partner TBT.
The Evolution, Performance and Leader awards were also presented, recognising, respectively, the partners’ continuous improvement, safety performance and operational leadership. The winners were the Painhas / Silva & Vinha consortium, the partners Floponor and Bragalux, and the Silva & Vinha / Painhas consortium, as well as the Águeda Maintenance Area, from the EMC MV/LV North Division, and André Agostinho, from the Lisbon 1 Maintenance Area, from the EMC MV/LV South Division.
