Prevention and Safety

Safety in the Community

Safety concerns us all and at E-REDES we work hard to be an engaged, committed and leveraging member of the community, guaranteeing public safety.

The world today is characterized by the widespread and increasing use of electricity. Electricity has become invaluable, at homes, factories, offices, schools, hospitals, farms, transportation and communications.

However, while electricity makes life easier and better, it also requires care in use: an incorrect use can cause serious and irrecoverable damages, or even death.

Electrical accidents usually happen due to a lack of knowledge, carelessness or negligence. A large number of accidents occur because people do not know how to deal with the electricity risks, because appliances or electrical installations are not in good condition, or because the risk is underestimated.

When misused, all forms of energy can be dangerous.

When not used properly, electricity can harm people and damage installations.

Electricity is a very discrete form of energy (it has no smell, it is invisible, it cannot normally be heard). It is recognized only as a consequence of its immediate effects, which contributes to the adoption of some unsafe behaviour.

How to prevent damages

It essential to respect safety instructions, procedures, and safety distances when using electrical appliances or carrying out work in the vicinity of electrical installations.

Be vigilant and report any unusual situations
