Scheduled interruptions

We guarantee the quality of electric power supply through planned power cuts, previously scheduled and communicated to our customers.

We are a reference at European level

Planned power cuts result from the essential need to perform manoeuvres, connection work, repair or maintenance of network infrastructure, whenever all possibilities of alternative supply from existing installations have been exhausted. These interruptions are also used to correct situations that could lead to security risks in the electricity grid and/or to prevent breakdowns.

All works comply with a rigorous planning and careful scheduling management, with the objective of causing the least inconvenience. They are carried out in the shortest possible time, often with the use of generators whose connections and disconnections generate short-term interruptions-three or four minutes - which can be repeated for the time period advertised in the published notices. The affected streets are also identified in each locality.

As a result of this effort, according to the latest report by CEER-Council of European Energy Regulators - E-REDES is classified as a European reference company for carrying out scheduled work with a low impact power cuts.

For safety reasons, the installations must be considered permanently live for the duration of the intervention.
