Access to the grid
In order for electricity to reach its customers from the generating centers, suppliers use the transmission and distribution grids. Operated by E-REDES, the latter is called "grid access".
To do so, suppliers must enter into a network use contract with E-REDES, which includes general conditions approved by the Energy System Regulator (ERSE). The right of access to the grids may also be exercised by customers who purchase electricity directly from producers.
For this access, suppliers pay E-REDES a regulated tariff, approved by ERSE, taking into account the consumption of each of their customers.
