Cybersecurity

Why do we care?

Increasing digitisation brings new security challenges and the energy sector plays a strategic role. Because the security of our grids means the security of our customers.

The central commitment in cybersecurity

Reducing the threat level

Digitisation processes are increasingly concerned with strengthening the commitment to cybersecurity. Any disruption in the power supply can have significant impacts on society and the economy.

We've made smart grids even smarter

In recent years, we have been working to ensure the highest security standards for our smart grids. We've created a training centre as a way of preparing our professionals to respond promptly to any threat, and we maintain ongoing cybersecurity tests to quickly detect and correct any vulnerability of our infrastructure. In addition, we have a dedicated team at our Integrated Supervision Centre which monitors our grids 24 hours a day.

We are pioneers in protecting the future

We want to be on the front line which is why we are involved in the European initiatives that are at the forefront of the concern for cybersecurity. E-REDES  is one of the 12 founding members of the European Energy - Information Sharing & Analysis Centre (EE-ISAC), a joint initiative of the electricity sector for international collaboration focused on the security and resilience of Europe's energy infrastructure to computer attacks; and it can be found in the ENCS association which brings together cybersecurity operators and experts to develop cybersecure critical energy infrastructures.
