Donation of Vehicles | Vouzela, Ansião and Serpins

The last vehicles of the 2020 initiative "Donate to Protect" were delivered.

This initiative, part of the "Donate to Protect" program, aims to support institutions that develop activities in forest protection, vegetation clearing, or reforestation.

The delivery of these vehicles - Pick up 4x4 - is part of the annual 2020 E-REDES vehicle donation program, which totals 16 vehicles belonging to its fleet, with an investment value of around 150 thousand Euros.

This program is in its fourth edition and has already donated 85 vehicles that have allowed the company to meet the pressing needs of municipalities and local communities, including fire departments and municipal forestry services, enabling the response in safeguarding the forest and the lives and property of the people they jointly serve.

As the operator of a 179 thousand kilometer long aerial network, 28 thousand of which are in forest areas, E-REDES is present throughout the country.

In the last 12 years, it has invested a total of 87 million euros in vegetation management.

The actions of inspection and intervention in protection areas and fuel management strips near power lines involve about 500 people, including internal and external employees, and the application of best practices in monitoring and vegetation management (from thermographic inspections of the lines using helicopter flights and drones, to the development of a feature in the APP that allows any citizen to report situations of proximity to vegetation).
