Sharing Cities

Sharing Cities is a major international smart cities project addressing some of the most pressing urban challenges facing today’s cities such as energy use, low carbon transport and buildings, and harnessing data for the good of the city.

Objectives

  • Enhance the development of the smart cities’ solution market in Europe;
  • Adopt a first digital approach, promoting the integration of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) to make existing infrastructure more efficient;
  • Accelerate the solution market to develop and test new business models, investments and governance models in cities of different sizes and maturities enhancing sustainability in communities:
  • Sharing and collaborating on behalf of society as a way of responding to the growing interest in citizen involvement and participation, enhancing the capacity of political and municipal authorities to develop policies and provide services through collaborative solutions design.

E-REDES scope

With 3 Lighthouse Cities - Lisbon, Milan & London, E-REDES has an overall leading role within the scope of the demonstration occurring in the city of Lisbon, Portugal.

Our role as a partner, covers all the Distribution System Operator activities for implementing the necessary solutions, such as:

  • Report of Urban Sharing Platform Operation and Reuse
  • Portfolio of co-designed Urban Services
  • Dashboards, decision support systems produced for operating and engaging with the systems
  • Energy efficiency services in Portuguese DEMO
  • Promote energy efficiency literacy: Clients, using Gamification in schools
  • Promote electrical mobility: acquisition PCVEs
