Professionals

Restricted area

Professionals in the electricity sector are the spokespersons of our activity. That is why we believe that, together, we can do more and do it better with a relationship of trust and cooperation.

Every day, hundreds of professionals work to guarantee the supply of energy to all homes, hospitals, companies, schools, etc. These employees are specialised in their field, ensuring efficient installation and maintenance of power lines, a job that is complex and demanding most of the time.

At E-REDES, we value the commitment of our professionals and do everything we can to ensure their safety and well-being.

Basic safety training

With our goal being 'zero accidents', the EDP Group has determined that all workers in outside companies - construction, maintenance or demolition work on electricity generation and distribution infrastructures - must be certified with "Basic Safety Training" (BSF).

In this way we guarantee not only their safety, but also their qualifications, motivation and productivity.

What is Basic Safety Training (BSF)?

With the training required by the EDP group, BSF ensures that all workers have sufficient knowledge to recognise and protect themselves from the risks associated with their activity.

The BSF is an additional requirement and does NOT replace the technical and safety training required to carry out the work correctly.

Professionals required to complete Basic Safety Training (BSF)

BSF is required for workers from service providers who carry out construction, maintenance or demolition work on electricity generation and distribution infrastructures.

This requirement does not apply to:

Holders of legally recognised training in Occupational Health and Safety (e.g. Occupational Health and Safety Technicians, Safety Coordinators).

People who are not directly involved in the work, even if they have to be present for an audit, inspection, meeting, etc.
