"Today another stage in the improvement of the residents living conditions and entrepreneurs of this area was fulfilled. With the electrification of another part of Serpa's Mountains, new potentialities are being created for this territory. We know that this part of the municipality, with a lower population density, has been waiting for this basic need to be met, and therefore, we have been pressing and articulating with the competent entities so that this kind of inequality is overcome. We are pleased with the completion of this phase, but we hope it is the beginning of another, so that the entire territory of the Serra de Serpa will soon have electric light," said Tomé Pires, Mayor of Serpa, at the inauguration ceremony, which took place at the facilities of the Residents Association of Neta and Pulo do Lobo.
