E-REDES installs a new Transformer Station in Lousada

E-REDES installed a new Distribution Transformer Station (PTD) in the town of Nogueira, Lousada, which replaces an old infrastructure that was located in the same area.

The new low cab PTD has a power of 250 KVA and the respective Medium Voltage (MV) branch line has 180 meters, 130 of which are underground.

Regarding the Low Voltage (LV) network, 100 meters of the network were reinforced to allow for the adaptation of the networks to the new PTD.

This work was executed in partnership with the municipality of Lousada, which carried out the necessary civil construction works, collaborated in obtaining a location for the new Transformer Station and supplied the new low voltage cabin, E-REDES having carried out all the electrical works and alteration of the existing networks, namely the assembly of new concrete support to make the network transition to the new underground MV branch line.

The work involved an investment of about 25 thousand euros will bring high gains for the energy supply in the area and benefit about 20 consumption sites, which will now be fed by this new infrastructure.

For E-REDES, this procedure fits into its policy of optimizing the quality of service and energy efficiency, resulting from the commitment that the company made with the Municipality of Lousada.
