Electricity generation regimes

Cogeneration is a technology that makes it possible to increase the conversion efficiency of energy resources while reducing gas emissions and operating costs.

Cogeneration is the simultaneous production, in an integrated process, of thermal energy and electrical or, where appropriate, mechanical energy. The main advantages of cogeneration are related to lower electricity and thermal energy production costs: electricity transmission and distribution costs are avoided, there is greater energy efficiency and pollutant emissions are lower.

Allocation of Capacity Reserve

The allocation of Reserve Capacity for Cogeneration is initiated by the applicant's request to the DSO.

Once the Study has been issued by the DSO, it is valid for a period of 6 months, during which time the applicant must apply to DGEG for a Production Licence, which is necessary to apply to the DSO for connection to the RESP.
